New Years Eve

Hello loves,
Today is quite a quick post. I know this is a bit late but I just wanted to show you what I'm wearing for New Year's Eve and hopefully give any of you last minute people like me ideas of what you can throw together quickly and still look somewhat fabulous.

I didn't want to wear a dress or skirt this year so I just threw on my dark wash jeans because I personally think they look more flattering on me and give the illusion that I have slimmer thighs. I think jeans with a nice top, maybe a sequinned top and a jacket or blazer of your choice is a nice and semi-formal look and it doesn't look like you're trying to much but you've still made an effort. I am going to a family party tonight and I can't wait to see all of you in 2014. 2013 has been a good year and I'm very grateful to have made it to the end of it and I just want to thank all my subscribers, my blog and you guys are one of  the best things that ever happened to me in 2013 and please be safe tonight and DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE.
Here's to our 2014........

I'm back you might be thinking what is she talking about, but I left my blog for a couple of weeks. did you miss me? *silence* tumbleweed rolls in the background *silence* Ok moving on, I guess I just kind of lost my love of blogging and I didn't want to give you half-hearted posts. I think i'm just going to re-introduce myself into blogging and not rush into it and there's no better way than with a 'Get To Know Me' tag. Quick question before I begin, do you guys like it when I ramble/waffle on or does it annoy you?

because she is just a generally funny and lovely person and I love Patricia (Britpopprincess)

De La Rose Hair and Beauty

Hello loves, Today I'm writing about something a little different and I'm so excited. It's a hair post, it might not seem interesting to you but being an African girl I love my Afro hair. I love my weaves, braids and my natural hair. Today I just wanted to share with you this new salon I've discovered in Aberdeen. I normally like to change my hairstyle and I do this every 1-2 months. I live in Aberdeen,Scotland so sometimes it's a little difficult finding a good hairdresser that does African-American Hairstyles and also sells extensions, lace wigs etc... and products that cater to black people's hair

De la Rose Hair & Beauty is this amazing little salon tucked up on 64 Frederick Street in Aberdeen. They sell hair and beauty products and they are also hairdressers. This shop isn't just for Black women, it's for anyone interested in buying extensions, hair products,or doing an African-American Hairstyle.

I went to get my hair done and I decided to get Box Braids (blame it on Pinterest). The service I received there was amazing, the ladies were lovely and they didn't mind me asking them to turn up the heater and then turn it down 30 minutes later. The shop has a really nice atmosphere, they are very professional in the way they work. They try to please their customers and they check with you along the way to see if you're happy with what they are doing, they are also very friendly. It isn't one of those shops that you sit in the chair and you're too scared to say a word and it's so awkward, they chat with you and you just feel comfortable. The lady that did my hair was called Tayo and the lady that did my sisters hair was called Grace, I would recommend these ladies any day but all their staff are good.

De La Rose do adults and children's hair, these are the pictures of all the hairstyles they've made for me and my sister and I can personally say I've never had a problem with them and they are very affordable. If you live in Scotland and you're visiting Aberdeen or you live in Aberdeen then I'd say you should definitely check out their shop.

* This is not a sponsored post and that might be hard to believe because it looks like one. It isn't I just wanted to feature De La Rose on my blog because I love their shop and I wanted to share my experience with others. I am not getting anything from de la rose and I doubt they even know I wrote this post, but they did give me permission to take photos of their shop and products.

Maybelline Vs L'oreal

Hello everyone, today I'm going to share with you two drugstore foundations I've just discovered and I'm loving. I don't know what to call this post, but I guess it's a review/comparisons post.
The first foundation is the l'oreal true match and I have this in the shade Cappuccino which to start off I think is too light/orange for me. This foundation is a matte finish, so I'd definitely recommend it if you have oily skin. The true matte has so many shades in its range, so I'm pretty sure you'll find your one. And even though its matte it isn't drying just remember to moisture, I have dry skin and this doesn't dry me out and as the day goes on my natural oils shine. The coverage isn't full, you can see some of my spots still showing, it's what I call light to medium but it is buildable. I like this foundation

#BritishBloggersSelection ~ Favourite Make Up Brand

Hello, how has everyone's week been?  I know I said I would post at least twice this week but I had a series of tests and essays, Anyway on with the post, this week you have to choose a favorite make up brand and why. I found it really hard to choose just one so I'm going to cheat a bit and pick 2 brands.
                                                         (Weheartit)
Sleek
I love sleek so much, their eye shadow palettes are so affordable and very pigmented. I think I really like sleek because they cater to darker skin tones and I always tend to go for their products over other brands. A few of my favourites from Sleek is their idivine eye shadow palettes and their Contour Kit
                                  (Weheartit)

Rimmel
This is another favourite, it is definitely a new discovery for me. I haven't tried many of their products yet but its their Kate Collection Lipsticks that have certainly won me over, I look forward to trying their stay matte powder and other lipsticks from Rimmel.

What products are you loving from Sleek and Rimmel right now?

#Britishbloggerselection

Hello, I hope you're having a good week. I just wanted to share with you this little project I found out about. It was started by Ellie from Little Vintage Camera, this is what she said .......

#BritishBloggerSelection is a group of British bloggers, it doesn't matter what your blog is about, it could be a lifestyle blog, a cooking blog, a fashion blog, beauty blog, you just have to be British! I'm not sure exactly when it will start but it will soon and I'll contact you when it'll start!

I started #BritishBloggerSelection because I saw blogs with badges such as #30DaysBloggingChallenge or Kansas Bloggers Group or something along those lines!

What's in it for you? If you participate in #BritishBloggerSelection, you'll get more blog traffic, friends with bloggers you probably didn't even know existed!

How this works: Each week on Saturday I'll send you a theme to blog about and from there you blog about whatever you want related to that theme! You don't have to participate in this every week, just participate when you feel ready! No one's forcing you to do it every week!

If you want to join in contact me with your blog URL, blog name and your first and last name and from there you are added into the group!

If you are interested and would like more information you can go here, personally I think its a great idea and I am definitely participating in this project.

Autumn and Winter Lookbook

Hello there, today the weather was especially nice so I  thought I'd do an autumn and winter lookbook. I love lookbooks so much, I  like seeing how other people style different pieces so I had a lot of fun doing this and I even threw in a few model poses just for you.

Autumn Tag

So I've been reading a lot of blogs this week and I see that most people are doing the Autumn tag, even though I wasn't tagged I found it quite interesting seeing as autumn is my favourite season, and I took matters into my own hands and decided I was going to do the autum tag. This is a great opportunity for all my new subscribers to find out a bit more about me and I'll try not to ramble on to much.
                                             Favourite thing about Autumn?
Oh there's so many, but my favourite thing would have to be the colours. Not just the colours of the leaves which I absolutely love, but the autumnal shades like the plums, burgundies

Week Update

Yes I know it's the middle of the week but I just couldn't wait to share what I've been up to with you. First of all I have two weeks of school and even though I'm not going anywhere I'm so excited.
